Majas Pflanzentage

Maja's garden days ***CANCELLED***

18th & 19th of April 2020

Due to the current epidemic spread of the corona virus and the duty of care towards exhibitors, our visitors and employees, we have no other choice.
We have not made the decision easy for ourselves and thank you for your understanding.
Whether the plant days will be made up for at a later date or cancelled completely cannot be said at this point in time. You will find more information here on the homepage.

Fruits and vegetables, perennials & rarities from the plant world - bright colours, happy days, nature’s variety ... that is how Novalis, one of the most important poets of early romanticism and ancestor of today's Count von Hardenberg, imagined spring. Following his example and referencing the original use of the Hardenberg SchlossGärtnerei, the Count's family von Hardenberg invites you to Maja's Garden Days. Garden fans and flower lovers will experience the colourful splendour of plants and flowers, surrounded by the historic walls of the SchlossGärtnerei with a view of the castle.

Until the end of the 20th century, the nursery supplied the agricultural workers, grain distillery and estate management with fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers that grew in the fields and greenhouses surrounding the old half-timbered house.

Today, numerous exhibitors present flowers, trees and perennials as well as garden accessories. Topical lectures give helpful tips for successful gardening. Visitors will not only be able to buy selected products but can also get expert advice and helpful tips for a successful start to the gardening season and year-round plant care at both the stands and in lectures. Children can enjoy the established petting zoo and refreshments are served in Maja’s “Genuss- Ecke”.

united under one roof

Under the new roof of the Hardenberg Distillery, exclusive handmade spirits of various categories will be created in the future. Honest, direct and strong in character - just like the people who create them, and, as it was done 300 years ago, everything remains in one hand. Raw materials are grown and processed directly on site and thus reach the bottle without detours. The Hardenberg Distillery is not just a production site, but also invites visitors to experience the distilling process and linger at Hardenberg.
