FAQ (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS) ABOUT OUR WEDDING VENUE
How many guests can the Hardenberg BurgHotel accommodate?
Our venues host weddings from small private gatherings up to 140 guests, depending on the selected event space.
Is there an on-site registry office?
Yes. The historic vaulted cellar within the castle ruins serves as the official registry office for civil ceremonies.
Can we hold a church or outdoor ceremony?
Absolutely. Ceremonies can be held in the local chapels or outdoors in front of the castle ruins – all within walking distance of the hotel.
Can we visit the venue before booking?
Yes. We warmly invite you to visit the Hardenberg BurgHotel and explore the castle ruins, event spaces and suites. Our wedding planner will show you around and discuss your ideas in a private consultation.
What happens if it rains on the wedding day?
No worries – there is always a beautiful indoor alternative. Ceremonies planned outdoors can be moved to the vaulted cellar without losing any of the romantic atmosphere.
Do additional costs apply for the bad-weather alternative at a free wedding ceremony?
No, there are no additional costs for the bad-weather alternative. Only the location that is actually used on the wedding day will be charged — either the outdoor ceremony space or the bad-weather backup location, depending on which one is needed.
Do you collaborate with external service providers (photographers, musicians, etc.)?
Yes. We can recommend professional local photographers, stylists, florists and live musicians who are familiar with the property and the best photo spots around the castle park and ruins.
Is there accommodation for children and pets?
Children are welcome, and dogs may stay upon request (€25 per night).
Where is the Hardenberg BurgHotel located?
The hotel is located in Nörten-Hardenberg, just ten kilometres from Göttingen in central Germany – easily accessible via the A7 motorway.
Is there parking available for guests?
Yes. Complimentary parking is available directly at the hotel, including charging stations for electric cars.
Is the venue accessible for guests with limited mobility?
Please note that the Hardenberg BurgHotel is not fully accessible due to its historic structure. Some areas, including parts of the castle ruins and event spaces, involve stairs. Our team will, however, do its best to support guests with mobility limitations individually.
