These include Cosy double rooms, Cosy rooms with a balcony, Comfort rooms with a balcony, Comfort Mill rooms, Deluxe Mill rooms, Deluxe rooms with a balcony, suites and family rooms such as Comfort Family with a balcony, Cosy Family and Cosy & Suite Family.

Depending on the category, the rooms and suites feature amenities including a double bed, complimentary WiFi, a flat-screen television, a KREAFUNK Bluetooth speaker, safe, minibar, complimentary water, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, high-quality CODAGE Paris toiletries, bathrobe, slippers, hairdryer and make-up mirror.

Yes, a cot is available free of charge. Infants and children from 0 to 6 years stay free of charge in their parents’ bed or a cot. An extra bed costs €60.00, plus breakfast, regardless of age:
• Children from 7 to 11 years: €60.00 plus €19.00 for breakfast per child/day
• Young people from 12 to 17 years: €60.00 plus €38.00 for breakfast per child/day
• Third person aged 18 or older: €60.00 plus €38.00 for breakfast per person/day
- Which cancellation conditions apply?
The cancellation conditions depend on the booked rate, selected offer and booking channel. The applicable conditions are displayed transparently during the booking process on our website.
When booking our Best Available Rate through the hotel website, you may cancel your reservation free of charge until 2.00 pm on the day of arrival. You can also find the cancellation conditions applicable to your booking in your offer and booking confirmation at any time.
- Are allergy-friendly rooms available?
In general, all our rooms are equipped to be allergy-friendly. This includes allergy-friendly bedding, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing stay. At your request, we can also clean your room daily – please speak to our team to arrange this.
If you have an animal-hair allergy, please inform us before your arrival. This allows us to make every effort to allocate a room in which no dog has previously stayed.
- Are the rooms air-conditioned?
Due to the historic age and structure of the building, the rooms do not have conventional air conditioning. Dyson air purifiers and fans are, however, available in several room categories.

The Hardenberg BurgHotel is easily accessible by car via the A7 motorway. The journey from the motorway to the hotel takes less than ten minutes.

Yes, ample complimentary parking is available directly in front of the Hardenberg BurgHotel.

Yes, garage spaces can be reserved subject to availability. A garage space costs €12.00 per garage per night.

Our varied breakfast buffet offers something for every taste, whether you prefer savoury dishes, sweet dishes or both. Look forward to regional products such as dairy products and cheese from Naturkost Elkershausen in Göttingen, seasonal fruit and vegetables from Werderhof, freshly prepared egg dishes using eggs from a regional farmer and selected game specialities from the Count’s estate. The breakfast is complemented by crunchy cereals and a selection of natural and fruit quark.
- Is there a restaurant at the Hardenberg BurgHotel?
Yes, the Hardenberg BurgHotel is home to Restaurant Novalis. Guests can enjoy modern, regionally inspired cuisine with a fine-dining character but without formal etiquette, including regional game specialities, vegetarian menus and seasonal highlights. The restaurant is open Monday to Sunday from 12.00 noon to 4.00 pm and from 6.00 pm to 9.30 pm.
- Are vegetarian or vegan dishes available?
Yes, Restaurant Novalis offers vegetarian menus and seasonal dishes. If you have any questions about ingredients or allergens, please speak to our team at the restaurant.
- Can external guests dine at Restaurant Novalis?
Yes, Restaurant Novalis can also be visited without an overnight stay. We recommend making a table reservation.

- What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is available from 3.00 pm. Check-out is until 12.00 noon.
- Is early check-in or late check-out available?
Yes, early check-in and late check-out are available upon request and, depending on availability, may be subject to an additional charge.
- Is check-in possible outside reception opening hours?
Yes, late check-in is possible by prior arrangement. If the reception is not staffed, the room key will be placed in a key safe in front of the main entrance. The access information will be provided in advance by email or telephone.
- When is the reception staffed?
The reception is staffed daily from 6.30 am to 10.45 pm. Outside these hours, the team at our sister hotel, FREIgeist Göttingen Innenstadt, can be reached by telephone.

The available rooms include the 42 m² Danziger Lachsstube for up to 20 people, the 36 m² Jagdzimmer for up to 16 people, the 92 m² Pferde-Burgzimmer for up to 60 people, the 100 m² Hoppegarten for up to 80 people and the 200 m² Hardenberg Mühle with a conservatory for events with up to 140 people.

Both larger wedding celebrations and intimate ceremonies in a private atmosphere are possible, including a ceremony for two in the historic vaulted cellar of the castle ruins. Yes, the Hardenberg BurgHotel has a fitness room with modern cardio and strength-training equipment.

Yes, guests at the Hardenberg BurgHotel can use the Hardenberg BurgSpa. The wellness facilities include a sauna area with an infrared sauna, steam bath and Finnish sauna, a relaxation area with a fireplace, two whirlpool tubs overlooking the Hardenberg castle ruins and treatment rooms for massages and cosmetic treatments.

Yes, younger guests are also very welcome in our wellness area. To ensure that all visitors feel comfortable, we ask guests to be considerate of one another and recommend enquiring in advance about suitable usage times for children. There is no conventional swimming pool. However, the BurgSpa has two whirlpool tubs overlooking the Hardenberg castle ruins.
- Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?
Due to its historic structure, the Hardenberg BurgHotel has limited wheelchair accessibility. Although the rooms are conveniently accessible by lift, some public areas are relatively narrow due to the building’s design, and unfortunately there is no separate wheelchair-accessible toilet.

Yes, your four-legged companion is also welcome when you play golf. Dogs are permitted on all golf courses at the Hardenberg GolfResort, so nothing stands in the way of a shared golf holiday at the Hardenberg estate.
- Is the surrounding area suitable for hiking and cycling?
Yes, the surrounding area is ideal for hiking, walking and cycling. Directly from the hotel, guests can explore the castle ruins, castle park, adjacent forest and Leine Valley. The Harz Mountains are also within easy reach for day trips.
- Can I bring my horse?
Yes, a stable space for your horse can be booked at the Hardenberg stables. The first night costs €50.00, and each additional night costs €30.00. Please let us know in advance when booking.

- Is the Hardenberg BurgHotel sustainable?
Yes, sustainability is an important part of our daily work. We continuously review our processes and take action wherever we can make a difference, from energy-efficient measures and the responsible use of materials and products to cooperation with regional partners and our social commitment. We intend to continue along this path and invest more strongly in our own projects within the hotel group, such as photovoltaic systems, to further reduce our environmental impact over the long term.
- Is the Hardenberg BurgHotel climate-neutral?
In cooperation with ClimatePartner, emissions from hotel operations, the restaurant, electricity consumption and employee travel have been recorded in recent years. Until now, unavoidable emissions have been offset through internationally recognised climate protection projects. In future, more funds are to be invested in the hotel group’s own sustainability projects, such as photovoltaic systems.
